Five large gray tagua lenses with a size of 20mm.
Each lens has a size of about 20mm and a thickness of about 4mm. The cord hole canal runs through the whole length of the lens with one hole on each side of the lens. The cord hole has a diameter of about 1",8mm.
These tagua lenses are available in many different colors and on lenses with lighter color the typical grain for tagua nut is still visible. The lenses overlap slightly – on a jewelry wire or band – because of the oblique cord hole, which runs through from one side of the lens to the other. The lenses show their best on a band without any other beads.
If you would like to combine them with other beads, its best if you first make a chain out of the lenses and then use the other beads to fill the remaining parts of the chain. Also charming are chains, which consist exclusively of lenses; this results in an interesting scaling effect due to overlapping.

Tagua or vegetable ivory is a natural product. Following drying, being cut into disks, lenses, beads, rings etc., it is going to be dyed. The individual pieces may have cracks, grain, brown peel residues etc.. It is not at fault. These characteristics are desired and provide the special design of the tagua products. Each piece is cut, drilled and colored by hand. Not one looks like the other.
The tagua products, like beads,"are relatively heavy and cool by touch (it is the stone character). Because of its wonderful white fruit tagua is also referred to as vegetable ivory.
