This tagua bead has the shape of a wing or saber and tapers to a point at the bottom. The cord hole is at the top and has a diameter of approx. 1.5mm. The tagua wing is 25-35mm long, about 7mm wide and 1mm thick. The 49 tagua wings are all different from each other and vary in length and width. While the surfaces are stained, there is still some shell on the curved edge; the straight edge is colored. The colors of the wings correspond almost exactly to the tagua wings in the photo. There may be one more wing of one color and one less of another color. The tagua wings are shown off best when small beads (such as 5mm coconut beads) are placed between them. Then the colors of the wings come into their own.
Tagua wings are particularly suitable for dangling pendants on necklaces or for earrings.
Please note: The tagua or stone nut is a natural product that, after drying, is cut into slices, lentils, beads, rings, etc. before it is then colored. The individual parts may have cracks, grains, brown remains of shells, etc. These are not errors. These characteristics are wanted and make up the very special design of the Tagua products. Every single piece is cut, drilled and colored by hand. No part is like the other. Tagua products, such as pearls, are relatively heavy and cool to the touch (this is the stone character).
