Pangi seeds red 45mm 1 piece with hole seed bead

A red pangi seed bead with a hole for jewelry making.

The pangi seed is hollow and the hole was added later. The pearl is approx. 45mm long, 32mm wide and 16mm high. There are two cord holes of approx. 2.2mm in diameter.

Pangi seeds grow on the pangi tree in the Philippines. After harvesting, they are dried and processed into various pangi seed beads. Pangi seed pearls are also available whole (i.e. without a hole) or in slices. The pearls are colored; the characteristic grain can still be seen through the colour.

Pangi seed beads are excellent for making very unusual and eye-catching necklaces.
