A whole shelled tagua nut, 43mm long, with the string hole through the full length of the nut .

The shell of this tagua nut was not removed and instead polished. The tagua has a length of approx. 43mm and a diameter of approx. 30mm. The shape of the nut is not completely round and can have two to three sides. The size and shape of the nuts vary. Every nut looks different.

Tip: The ivory-colored core lies under the shell. You can use scratching tools to create interesting patterns in the shell and expose the light-colored core.

The cord hole channel goes through the entire length of the nut. The cord hole has a size of approx. 2.5mm.

This great tagua nut can be worn casually on a leather strap or chic on jewelry wire. In both cases, however, it is a very eye-catching and unusual piece of jewelry that not only catches the eye because of its size, but also because of its color and shape.

The tagua or stone nut is a natural product that, after drying, is cut into slices, lentils, beads, rings, etc. before it is then colored. The individual parts may have cracks, grains, brown remains of shells, etc. These are not errors. These characteristics are wanted and make up the very special design of the Tagua products. Every single piece is cut, drilled and colored by hand. No part is like the other.
Tagua products, such as pearls, are relatively heavy and cool to the touch (this is the stone character). Because of its beautiful white fruit, the tagua is also known as plant ivory.
