A strand of Buri lentils, half white, half brown shell, in UFO shape, 9mm in size.
A strand of Buri lentils is about 40cm long and contains almost 82 beads. The Buri Lentils are shaped like a UFO with the top part being brown due to the shell and the bottom half where the shell has been removed is white. The lens has a diameter of approx. 9mm and a thickness of approx. 5mm. The cord hole runs through the lens from top to bottom and is approximately 1.8mm in diameter.
The effect of these Buri beads is quite curious. Although the pearls are two-toned, the pearls do not appear striped. Depending on the angle at which you look at the pearls, the pearls appear to be either all brown or all white. These pearls bring movement into a piece of jewelry, because the piece of jewelry looks different every time you look at it.
These buri tubes are great to combine with similarly colored natural pearls or can also be used on their own to create fancy multi-row necklaces.
The Buri seeds are harvested and processed in the Philippines.
